Our Staff Team
When choosing a care home you are also choosing a group of people - the care staff. They are equally as important to us are they will be to you.
We think Hopton Care Cottages is one of the best care home designs around. What makes it even more special is our staff team. Our care company Thomas Owen Care has been looking after older people and those with a dementia for 25 years. For our new home at Hopton we have selected the most experienced and highly qualified staff members from our existing homes.
Each neighbourhood has its own care manager and Joseph Martin is general manager for the home. The four key people have nearly 75 years experience between them!

We are very proud of our record of low staff turnover, usually only one or two new staff members join our team each year, and we have never use agency staff at any of our homes. Being looked after by someone you know, and who knows you is really important at Hopton Care Cottages. Our staff will get to know your favourite meals and activities and help you feel comfortable at all times, just like you would at home.
We carry out expert training programmes for our staff, all of whom have an NVQ care level 2 qualification and most are qualified to NVQ level 3.
We also have our own maintenance team at the home to help with all things from putting up your pictures to gritting paths in winter.
